Volkswagen automaker plans to invest nearly 4 billion euros with China along with its partners in a year. Moreover, 40% of this amount will be directed to the production of electric vehicles, including infrastructure, research and development.
In the next few years, the automaker will invest in electric cars more than in cars that run on fuel. VW plans to deliver 30 models of cars using new energy sources to the Chinese market for the year and increase their sales by 1.5 million by 2025.
In fiscal 2020, the production of electric vehicles will be launched at the FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC Volkswagen plants, and the total production capacity will be 600 thousand cars per year.
